If you want to try something a little different, I guarantee you will love this meal. It is easy to cook chicken using simple Indian organic spices on a flat pan. This process of cooking yields a dry dish which can be used as a side dish or can be consumed with naan bread or chapati or rice.
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 extra-large chopped onion
2 tbsp water
2 pounds lean ground chicken
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp grated fresh ginger root
1tbsp of Organic Red Chili Powder
2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
2 tbsp of Organic Chicken Masala
1 tbsp Organic Coriander Powder
1 ½ tbsp of Himalayan Pink Salt to taste
1 ½ tbsp of Organic Cumin Powder
1 tbsp of Organic Turmeric Powder
1 (28 ounces) can diced tomatoes
3 beaches potatoes, peeled and diced
1 cup of frozen green peas
1 tbsp of Organic Garam Masala
Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook and stir onion in the hot oil until soft and it begins to become brown, about for 10 mins.
Mix ground chicken, ginger into the pan; cook and stir until the chicken is browned and crumbly,10 to 15 min. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add Organic coriander powder, Himalayan pink salt, chicken masala, red chili, turmeric, cumin powder into the chicken; cook and stir until flavors blend for 5 min. Add the tomatoes and potatoes, cover pot, and simmer until potatoes are tender about 15 mins.
Mix green peas into the dish and cook until sauce has slightly thickened and flavors have blended, 10 to 15 min. Sprinkle garam masala and cilantro for garnish over the dish, cover, and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve it with naan bread or chapati!
